BEAR’s Back to School program, which serves over 5,000 children annually, helps ensure that children currently under the supervision of Child Protective Services have the resources they need to confidently begin school each fall. Due to the COVID-19 health crisis, many families may not have the financial capacity to purchase back-to-school items for their children. For this reason, resources like backpacks and school supplies will make an even greater difference in a child’s academic success this fall. To assist BEAR in providing as many Back to School essentials during this time of uncertainty as possible, we invite you to make monetary contribution to help sponsor the cost of these items:

- A $25 donation can provide ONE child with a brand new backpack and school supplies.
- A $50 donation can provide TWO children with brand new backpacks and school supplies.
- A $100 donation can provide FOUR children with brand new backpacks and school supplies.
*Should excess funds be raised after this year’s program concludes, said funds will then be used to purchase vital resources as a part of our BEAR Necessities Program, which operates year-round and provides thousands of children with everyday essentials they may need while under the supervision of Child Protective Services. This is the program that serves the most children in our community (over 14,000 annually), and is the cornerstone on which BEAR was founded.
