BEAR provides items through its BEAR rooms for these children, such as clothes, shoes, diapers, car seats, formula, and more. In 2023, this program served 30,000Â children.
BEARing Gifts
Every December, BEAR spreads holiday cheer by providing gifts to at-risk and CPS-involved children during the holiday season. Thanks to our many community partners, in 2023, this annual program served 26,623 children.
BEAR Back to School
BEAR’s seasonal program helps ensure that children currently under the care of CPS have backpacks and school supplies that they need to go back to school each fall. In 2023, this program served 13,866 children.
Heart Gallery of Greater Houston
Heart Gallery of Greater Houston is a powerful, traveling photographic exhibit created to help find forever families for children in foster care. Like any other child, these children like to laugh, learn, and have special talents and hobbies. Most of all, however, they dream of one day finding a forever family.
